Recombinant Antigen Injected Intramuscularly
1 mL of BEVAC ADULT is injected IM into the deltoid muscle. The dose delivers 20 mcg of purified recombinant HBsAg. No live virus or viral genetic material is present — the vaccine cannot cause Hepatitis B infection.

Immune System Recognition
Antigen-presenting cells at the injection site process the HBsAg protein and present it to T-helper cells, initiating the adaptive immune response.

Do NOT give BEVAC ADULT if:
- You have had a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to a previous dose of BEVAC ADULT, any Hepatitis B vaccine, or any of its components
- Known hypersensitivity to yeast or any vaccine excipient
- You have a moderate to severe acute illness with fever — defer vaccination until recovery
