Split Virion Antigens Injected Intramuscularly
0.5 mL of VaxiFlu is injected into the deltoid muscle. The dose delivers fragmented (split virion) influenza particles from all 3 WHO 2026 strains — H1N1, H3N2 and B/Victoria — each contributing ≥15 µg of Haemagglutinin (HA) antigen. No live virus is present, so the vaccine cannot cause influenza.
Immune System Recognition
Antigen-presenting cells at the injection site process the split virion fragments and present them to T-helper cells, triggering the adaptive immune response against all 3 strains.
Strain-Specific Antibodies Generated
B-lymphocytes produce high-titre, strain-specific IgG antibodies targeting H1N1, H3N2 and B/Victoria, which neutralize the virus on future exposure.
