Inactivated Antigen Injected Intramuscularly
0.5 mL of HAVISURE is injected IM into the deltoid. The dose delivers purified, chemically inactivated Hepatitis A virus particles adsorbed on an aluminium hydroxide adjuvant that helps stimulate a stronger, longer-lasting immune response at the injection site.

Antigen Presentation to Immune Cells
Local antigen-presenting cells take up the inactivated viral antigen and present it to T-helper (CD4+) cells at nearby lymph nodes, initiating the adaptive immune response.

Anti-HAV Antibodies Generated
B-lymphocytes are activated to produce protective anti-HAV IgG antibodies. A single dose already generates measurable protection in most people within 2–4 weeks.

Long-Term Protection After the Second Dose
The second dose, given 6–12 months after the first, boosts antibody titres substantially and generates lasting immune memory — providing an estimated 20+ years of protection, likely lifelong for most healthy individuals.
